Aims and Scope

Empirical Studies in Economics and Finance (ES) is an international, peer-reviewed journal devoted to advancing knowledge through the application of empirical analysis to contemporary issues in economics and finance. The journal welcomes studies that provide clear methodological contributions, robust empirical findings, and meaningful implications for policy, business, and society.

ESEF welcomes contributions that explore key empirical issues in:

• Macroeconomics: business cycles, monetary and fiscal policy, growth, inflation, and international linkages.

• Microeconomics and Applied Economics: labor markets, industrial organization, innovation, productivity, and behavioral aspects of decision-making.

• Business Operations and Management: empirical research on corporate strategy, firm performance, supply chain management, production efficiency, decision-making processes, organizational behavior, and sustainability practices.

• Finance and Financial Markets: corporate finance, banking, asset pricing, investment behavior, risk management, financial regulation, and fintech development.

• International and Comparative Studies: cross-country analyses, emerging markets, and global financial integration.

• Data and Methods: empirical research utilizing econometric modeling, panel data, high-frequency data, experimental and quasi-experimental methods, or machine-learning approaches applied to economic and financial questions.

The journal values clarity, transparency, and reproducibility in empirical work. Submissions should demonstrate sound research design, rigorous analysis, and well-articulated conclusions that enhance understanding of real-world phenomena. Through the dissemination of empirical evidence and innovative methods, Empirical Studies in Economics and Finance aims to serve as a global platform for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to interpret and improve the complex workings of modern economies and financial systems.
