Ethics & Disclosures
New Insights Press is committed to upholding the highest standards of research integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in academic publishing.
All authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to act with honesty, accountability, and respect for professional and ethical principles throughout the publication process.
We follow the guidelines and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other international organizations governing responsible research and publishing.
Authorship and Contribution
Authorship should accurately reflect those who have made significant scholarly contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.
• All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.
• Contributions such as data collection, technical support, or administrative assistance should be acknowledged in the “Acknowledgments” section.
• Guest, honorary, or ghost authorship is not permitted.
• Any use of AI-assisted tools (for writing, data analysis, or image generation) must be transparently declared in the manuscript, and authors remain fully responsible for the content produced.
Originality and Plagiarism
Submissions must represent original work that has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism, duplicate publication, and data manipulation using advanced similarity detection tools.
Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or misappropriation of another author’s work is considered serious misconduct and may result in rejection, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions.
Data Transparency and Reproducibility
Authors should ensure the transparency and reproducibility of their research:
• Data, methods, and materials should be described with sufficient detail to allow replication.
• Whenever possible, datasets and code should be made publicly available through repositories or supplementary materials.
• Authors are encouraged to follow the FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
• Manipulation or selective reporting of data is strictly prohibited.
Conflicts of Interest
All parties involved in the publication process must disclose any conflicts of interest—financial, institutional, or personal—that could influence the research or its interpretation.
• Authors must include a “Conflict of Interest” statement within the manuscript.
• Editors and reviewers must decline to handle or review manuscripts where conflicts exist.
• The editorial office evaluates all disclosures to maintain objectivity and fairness.
Ethical Approval and Informed Consent
For studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data:
• Authors must confirm approval from an appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) or ethics committee.
• Research involving human participants must include a statement confirming informed consent was obtained.
• Experiments involving animals must comply with institutional and national guidelines for humane treatment.
• Failure to provide ethical approval documentation may result in rejection or post-publication correction.
Funding and Acknowledgments
All sources of research funding, financial support, and institutional sponsorship must be clearly stated.
Authors should describe the role of the funder, if any, in study design, data collection, analysis, and publication decision-making.
Any non-financial contributions (e.g., technical or editorial assistance) should also be acknowledged.
Corrections, Retractions, and Misconduct
New Insights Press is committed to preserving the integrity of the academic record.
• Corrections will be issued when honest errors are identified that do not invalidate the work.
• Retractions will be issued for confirmed cases of plagiarism, falsified data, ethical violations, or other misconduct.
• When necessary, editors will follow COPE flowcharts to investigate ethical concerns and take appropriate action, including notifying authors’ institutions.
Transparency and Accountability
The editorial teams of New Insights Press ensure that all decisions are made transparently and without bias.
We believe that open, responsible communication between authors, reviewers, and editors is essential to maintaining trust in scholarly publishing.
By submitting to any New Insights Press journal, authors acknowledge their agreement with these ethical and disclosure standards.
