Aims and Scope

Technological Pathways and Development (TPD) is an international, peer-reviewed journal devoted to publishing high-quality research that explores the role of technology, innovation, and engineering in driving sustainable development and industrial transformation. The journal serves as a platform for interdisciplinary studies that link technological advancement with economic, environmental, and societal progress across both developed and emerging economies.

TPD welcomes original research and reviews that explore key scientific and clinical issues in:

• Engineering and Applied Technology: mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, and materials engineering; automation, robotics, and intelligent systems.

• Industrial Innovation and Systems Design: process optimization, digital manufacturing, additive technologies, industrial AI, and smart infrastructure.

• Sustainable and Green Technologies: renewable energy systems, waste management, environmental engineering, and resource efficiency.

• Information and Communication Technologies (ICT): data analytics, IoT, 5G networks, cybersecurity, and digital transformation in industry.

• Technology Policy and Development Studies: the diffusion of innovation, technology transfer, regional industrialization, and the relationship between technological change and socioeconomic growth.

• Interdisciplinary Integration: studies connecting engineering, management, and policy to address global challenges such as climate change, sustainable production, and digital equity.

TPD emphasizes the interaction between technology and development — how engineering innovation shapes industries, economies, and communities. The journal seeks contributions that combine solid technical foundations with broader implications for sustainable growth, productivity, and human well-being. Manuscripts should demonstrate methodological rigor, clarity of design, and relevance to real-world applications. Empirical, theoretical, and simulation-based studies are equally welcome, provided they contribute to advancing the understanding of technological systems and their developmental impact.
