Formatting and Layout Guidelines
To ensure clarity, consistency, and professional presentation across all journals published by New Insights Press, authors are requested to follow the formatting and layout standards described below.
These guidelines apply to all submissions unless the specific journal provides an additional template.
General Formatting
• File type: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
• Language: All submissions must be written in clear, concise English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to use professional language editing services prior to submission.
• Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size.
• Spacing: Double-spaced throughout the manuscript, including references, tables, and figure captions.
• Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides.
• Paragraphs: Indent first line by 0.5 inch; avoid extra spacing between paragraphs.
Manuscript Structure
All submissions should be organized into the following sections (unless specified otherwise):
1. Title Page
• Title of the paper (concise and informative)
• Author(s) full name(s)
• Affiliation(s) (department, institution, city, country)
• Corresponding author’s email address
• ORCID (optional but encouraged)
2. Abstract
• Length: 100–250 words
• Clearly state the purpose, methods, main findings, and implications.
• Avoid citations or undefined abbreviations.
3. Keywords
• Provide 4–6 keywords that best describe the research area and methods.
• Use standardized scientific terms.
4. Main Text
Recommended structure for empirical and analytical articles:
• Introduction: Define the research question, motivation, and contribution.
• Literature Review (optional for short papers): Summarize relevant studies and theoretical framework.
• Data and Methodology: Describe data sources, sampling, models, and methods clearly.
• Results and Discussion: Present empirical results, tables, and figures with interpretation.
• Conclusion: Summarize main findings, implications, and future research directions.
• References: Follow the APA 7th Edition or journal-specific reference style. (If not, please follow only one type of references formate)
Tables and Figures
Numbering: Use Arabic numerals (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.) in the order of appearance.
Titles: Provide concise titles above tables and below figures.
Formatting:
• Tables: Use plain grid lines; avoid merged cells.
• Figures: Use high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) in .jpg or .tiff format.
Placement: Insert tables and figures near the corresponding text where referenced.
Source Notes: If adapted or reproduced from other works, include proper citation and permission.
Equations and Symbols
Use MathType or the equation editor in Microsoft Word.
Define all variables at first appearance.
Number equations consecutively (e.g., Eq. 1, Eq. 2).
Avoid manual spacing or images for equations.
Footnotes and Endnotes
Do not use Footnotes.
